At the end of a project

  • Verify everything works
    • Delete internal comments
    • Run Master do-file, preferably in a separate directory
    • Ensure no identifying information is left
    • Ensure data has unique identifiers
    • Ensure results stayed the same
    • Log user-written Stata commands
    • Check Read-Me is up-to-date
  • Publishing
    • Check rights & permissions
    • Check FAIR principles : Findability, Accessibility, Interoperability, and Reuse of digital assets
    • Decide on a repository, e.g., Göttingen Research Online (GRO) (possible to restrict access)
    • Write down/submit metadata
    • Consider to add de-identified raw data & code to create analyses data (next to replication data & code)
    • Add a data availability statement, permanent identifiers & links to your paper(s) and website
    • Consider publishing a data descriptor (e.g., with Scientific Data or Data in Brief )
